Lauren Pye is an Atlanta-based actress currently studying at Savannah College of Art and Design (Atlanta campus). She is pursuing an Acting BFA and a Film Minor. In addition to college classes, Lauren is broadening her range of skills through studying with professional acting studios like Catapult, working with Dalton and Atlanta improv groups, local theater in her hometown of Dalton, Georgia, and more.

On the stage, Lauren’s favorite roles include Jo March (Little Women), Morticia Addams (The Addams Family), and Gilmer (Godspell), where she exchanged gas mileage for experience! She has participated in local and school theater in plays, musicals, improv shows, and cabarets. She trains vocally with award-winning Broadway singer Janene Lovullo. Her experience with music and dance helps her learn quickly. Lauren also performed in Dalton High School’s award-winning marching band in Colorguard (flag) and as drum major her senior year. Her ability to read music is also something she uses in her daily training. She plays the oboe and is practicing guitar.
Lauren started exploring the world of film around the age of 12 at Catapult Acting Studios in Atlanta, where she studied with greats such as Erik Lingvall. Lauren has been in several student films at SCAD, the University of North Georgia, and Georgia Southern (including student thesis/capstone films) and supporting roles in independent films. Her film minor gives her the opportunity to learn what happens behind the camera as well. Lauren is passionate about learning every aspect of filmmaking.
Lauren has been around horses her entire life. She finds refuge on a serene day riding through the hills of North Georgia with her horse, Manny. She is an eventer and show jumper currently training with one of Ecuador’s top riders, Daniel Sarango. Horse riding is her favorite method of exercise, and she has done it side by side with her acting career for many years. After graduation, Lauren plans to start the process toward her CHA certifications (Certified Horsemanship Association) to become a horse stuntwoman for film and TV, combining her two loves - acting and horses.
She is also looking for any sponsorship toward this goal from a future TV/FILM production.
